Prof. Silpi Chanda
She is a dedicated professional with more than 15 years of experience in the field of Pharmacy. Currently, she is associated with Amity University Lucknow Campus, Uttar Pradesh, India. She obtained a PhD degree from Jaypee University of Information Technology, India (2015). She specializes in standardization of herbal drugs and evaluation of their biological properties. Her keen interests to explore the plants used by the tribal people of Northeast. Her research primarily focuses on the Pharmacognostical and biological evaluation of herbals plants. She has published numerous article in reputed journal and presented her work at various international conferences. She has written several book chapter on traditional and ethno botanical investigation of edible plants. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys traveling and an avid artist. Looking ahead she aspires to continue her work in the evaluation of unexplored plants of India. Her specialization includes herbal drug, Ethnopharmacology, Traditional knowledge, Standardization, Validation, Natural product, Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Herbal formulation, estimation of phytoconstitutuents, Nutraceuticals etc.
